Week 3 Homework : Lost Property / Hair Cuts

***

In class today, we started looking at the language of transactions and more formal communications.

VU22603

We read the story, "My Dictionary, My Friend" and wrote emails / filled an online form sent to the Lost Property Department of Public Transport Victoria (PTV).

VU22601

We also practiced ringing PTV and inquiring at the Lost Property Department about the lost dictionary - and a lost Japanese umbrella.

Download the worksheets (if you were absent)

We also discovered that many of you are confused about Pronouns! That's okay :-)

Here are the exercises I promised ...

Subject Pronouns / Object Pronouns (English-Hilfen)

Possessive Determiners / Possessive Pronouns (English-Hilfen)

We have also progressed  to studying Present Perfect (Have + past participle) - see the picture of our whiteboard above

Here is a video if you want to review

GAME

Read about the Present Perfect and play a game (British Council)

GOING TO THE HAIRDRESSER (VU22601.2)

Are you confident going to the hairdresser or barber? Do you know how to make an appointment?

Here is a great video lesson  from Animated English.com

Download the PDF for this lesson

And then you have to watch Mr Bean at the Barber :-) ...

FILM

From red umbrellas to The Red Balloon ... (my favourite silent film of all time)
